We delete your data when it is no longer needed for these things.

1. The information we collect about you

When you enrol as a student on our site, we collect the personal information you give us and we will hold the following data about you:

We collect your name and email

As a student progresses through our course(s) we collect information about how they interact with the course, including but not limited to, their progress through the course, quiz scores, survey results, discussion or forum contributions and other student activities.

The name of your company.

Information and documents about your matters or enquiries, including communications with you.

Billing and payment information.

We also generate log files from various servers: this will include an IP address assigned to you or, more likely, to someone who provides you with Internet access.

 

Cookies

We collect cookies or similar tracking technologies. This means information that our website’s server transfers to your computer. This information can be used to track your session on our website. Cookies may also be used to customise our website content for you as an individual. If you are using one of the common Internet web browsers, you can set up your browser to either let you know when you receive a cookie or to deny cookie access to your computer.


Children

We do not knowingly provide services to children. If you are below the age of 16, you may use our website only with the permission and active involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are under the age of 16, please do not provide us or other website visitors with any personal information and do not use this website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. 2. How we use your information (processing)

References to the basis of processing (e.g. "(Basis: Art. 6(f).)") show the article of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) under which we undertake the processing in question.


Providing you with online courses

Name and email are needed to allow individuals to access our courses for processes such as processing enrolments, authentication. Other information is used for course progression tracking or otherwise administering your course.

We use the information we hold about you and your business — both personal and otherwise — to give you the best online courses we can.

We use cookies to recognise your device and provide you with a personalised experience.

We also use your information to bill you, and keep track of payments that you make.

Security & operations

We may use the logs from our servers as well as web analysis tools that are built into the https://neirajones.thinkific.com website to measure and collect anonymous session information and to assist in our firm's security, as well as to determine visitor behaviour and help us plan our strategy (e.g. such as working out which pages on the site are most popular, or whether particular events have caused an increase in traffic).

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not unlawfully collected, inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Email Communications

We may send you emails in relation to courses you have enrolled for, such as registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, and further courses you have expressed interest in.

We may also send you emails about our site and related course(s), survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion. As this is a secondary purpose for using your information we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you for purposes other than course administration, at anytime, by contacting us (please see Get in touch section).


3. How we share your data with third parties

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.


Thinkific

Our online courses and site are hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”), a Canadian company. They provide us with the online course creation platform that allows us to sell our courses to you.

Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Stripe

If you make a purchase on our site, we use third party payment processor Stripe. Payment processing is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. PCI DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

When you click on external links on our course site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.


4. Disclosure

We do not trade personal data for commercial purposes and will only disclose it if required by law or for defending a legal claim, if necessary to administer your account on our site, or with your consent.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

If our site or course is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to offer services to you.
